Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) held a new provincial draw on February 25, inviting 299 candidates in its International Skilled Worker category to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada PR Visa.

Only applicants who could be eligible for the Express Entry sub-category of the SINP were invited to this Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw.

Applicants needed an Expression of Interest (EOI) score of at least 70 to be invited and work experience in any one of 70 professions that are in-demand in the province. Some of these professions are Retail and wholesale buyers, Medical administrative assistants, and geological engineers, among others.

With the use of the EOI system, Saskatchewan can nominate the candidates with the most potential to meet the demands of the local labor market. Applicants must demonstrate their commitment to settling in Saskatchewan by highlighting their work experience, education, language skills, age, and connection to the province.

SINP’s International Skilled Worker Points Assessment grid awards point to EOI profiles of the candidate out of the total of scores of 100 points. Highest-ranked profiles are then invited to apply for a provincial nomination through frequently held rounds of invitations.

Since November 2020, Saskatchewan has started giving more EOI points to people who speak both English and French.

If an express entry candidate has submitted an EOI with SINP and has scored 70 points in the SINP points assessment grid, they may have been invited to the last draw
