Basics on British Columbia PNP

British Columbia PNP is designed to attract foreign workers with high in-demand skills and who want to live in the province as permanent residents.

Two major immigration streams under BC PNP are SI and EEBC, both of which have different sub-categories. To apply, candidates need to create a profile through an online portal and register under Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS). Once you have registered, your profile will be assigned scores based on your credentials like work experience, education, and language skills, among other major factors.

The top-rated candidates from each subcategory are then invited to apply for a provincial nomination when BC. performs one of its regular draws.

After you get an invitation, you have 30 days to submit your application for a provincial nomination to BC PNP.

Province will decide on your application in 2 to 3 months. If your application is successful, you can apply for a PR Visa to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), with your BC PNP provincial nomination. Provincial nomination certificates are valid for 6 months from the date of confirmation.
