How does Ontario PNP select candidates?
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) uses an Expression of Interest (EOI) system to select candidates for its various streams. The EOI system is a points-based system where candidates are assigned a score based on factors such as language proficiency, education, work experience, and ties to Ontario.
Periodically, the Ontario PNP conducts draws to select candidates who meet the minimum score requirement for a particular stream. Candidates who are selected in a draw will receive an invitation to apply for provincial nomination.
The score requirements and the number of invitations issued in each draw can vary depending on the specific stream and the province’s labor market needs. It’s important to note that meeting the minimum score requirement does not guarantee an invitation to apply, as the selection process is competitive.
